2018 poker plan

It's been a long time since I have written on this blog about poker. After Black Friday it kind of killed poker for me since I could no longer play online. I tried to play live, but it just was not the same thing. Plus due to job and life change's I stopped playing for several years.

I have been playing over the last several months at Morongo Casino in Cabazon. I played this afternoon and was able to book a small win of $21.00. I didn't document any hand histories but had some fascinating players at the table that would shove on boards that blew my mind.

The plan for 2018 is to play mostly at Morongo for cash and then other casinos for Tournaments, hopefully, I will be able to capture more hands when I play so we can discuss them on here.

END OF YEAR REVIEW AND GOALS FOR 2011

The end of the year is one day away and thought I would look at PT and see what the numbers have to say. Since I played most of the year on Full Tilt, I had a small net win for the year, but on Poker Stars which I only started playing on again toward the end of the year I ended with a small lose. I guess not bad for not really playing seriously through out the year and then playing for several weeks and then just stop playing for several weeks.

My goal for the first four months of 2011 is to play 125-150 SnG 18,90 man's on Poker Stars and see how I do. I think Poker Stars is a better place to do that since the players are not as good on Fullt Tilt.
So I will be updating my progress with screen shots on Sunday nights after I finish playing. I will post some interesting hands along with screen shots of my PT graphic.
I am not going to be playing live until the above goal is done. Also, I want to play in both my perlim event again this year, along with the main event, so I need to win some satties to those.
My first post of my progress will be on January 9th 2011.

Week 1 of 10KEOY

The first week started off pretty rough, seemed I could not get alot of in money finishes on FTP or PS, would get to the bubble and get knocked out due to a lack of chips and not being able to win any races. That really is something that screwed with my head, so after putting in a ton of volume on the first day (Sept 1) I put in less volume the following days, part due to I was tilting and part due to feeling like shit.

I played a small buy in tourney at Morongo   on Wednesday night with a friend and played like crap for I was still upset about how the day went, so made it about half way thru the field. Did alot better playing cash then I did in the tourney, it was weird, during the tourney I was upset and felt upset. But when I started to play cash I felt fine and in control of my emotions and the table.

Went back to Morongo on Friday night to play some cash and book a small win, but I was playing so much better and felt so much better, then when I got home played the $16.00 18 man on PS and took 2nd and won a couple tickets on FTP. I played so much better after the small win at the casino.

So today I am going to review my hand histories and play in the PS facebook league tourney and then put in some volume to get this goal going in the right direction.

10K CHALLENGE FOR THE END OF THE YEAR

Well, it is only four months before we write off this year, so I became inspired to try and challenge myself on two fronts, the first being poker and the second being fitness. So since this blog is about my poker life, I am going to try and earn 10K by December 31, 2010.

What really inspired me to do this challenge is I was reading one of Tristan"Cre8ive" Wade twitters about one of his students(Mario "MaYiTo" Romera) that started out on full tilt and poker stars with $100 on both sites in February of 2010 and by August of 2010 he hit his goal. I have had some coaching by Tristan via deepstacks live so I thought, I could do that if I really put my mind to it, plus I have never really put that much effort into my other times I have tired similar challenges.

So here is the outline of what I will allow myself to play on both sites.

Now on both sites they have promotions if you get X number of points you get either a iron man (full tilt) or different star rating(poker stars).

If I just play SnG's it would require 29 per day which normally takes about 4 hours.

I will begin the challenge on Sept 1, 2010 and update this blog every Sunday starting on Sept 5, 2010, they will include where I am on my challenge along with any interesting hands.

Starting tomorrow will be hitting the STEPS on full tilt along with 9 man turbo's. I will start to blog more about it in one week.

Gearing up for online tournaments in 2010

Well, put together my 2010 tournament schedule. Here it is:

14.5K GUARANTEE(REBUY) $3.30 starts at 9:35 a.m. pst
42K GUARANTEE $24.00+2.00 starts at 11:00 a.m. pst.
33K KO GUARANTEE $24.00 +2.00 starts at 12:00 p.m. pst
10+1 KO $10 + 1 starts at 2:31 p.m. pst
SUPER STACK 15K GUARANTEE $10 + 1 4:00 p.m. pst

I am going to play this schedule Monday,Tuesday,Wednesday and use Thursday,Friday to review hand histories. I then will use the happy hour time of 8 p.m. until 10 p.m. to play SnG's, but if I am deep in any tournaments, I will not play the SnG's until I am done with the tournaments.

I am going to start with a bankroll of 1K and see what I can do with it. Here is a screen shot of my starting roll.








A couple other goals I have in 2010 is to turn my shark scope around from a major negative to a major positive. Here is my current shark scope.



Another goal of mine is to get in the top 10 of the PFX subscriber shark scope race for SnG's <$20.00 currently I am 814th with a -31.86% ROI.
The rules are you have to play at least 50 games and the one with the best ROI wins PFX points.

So I will be starting on my quest on Monday January 4, 2010. I will update this blog on Sunday nights. So see you on January 10, 2010 for the first update.

Better late then never

Well, my challenge got off to a later then excepted start. I will be playing 15 sets of 4 tables at a time each day until August 31, that is about 900 SnG's. I plan on starting around 7:00 p.m. at night once I get off work so that I can focus and then each day after go over the SnG's in SnG wiz looking for missed push/fold spots. I played one set already and took 1st in just one. I am hoping that I can at least cash in all 4 in the near feature. So off to start grinding SnG's will post my results next Monday.
